Front Splitter

My factory front splitter had a run in with a cement barrier pulling into a parkade and needless to say the parkade wall was victorious. Though about going carbon fiber but I want to keep it uniform and match the side skirts and rear diffuser that are in Mosaic Blk Metallic. The Chevy Ground Effects package was #84116172 but I can't find the part number for just the front splitter. Would anyone happen to know if you can purchase separately? Has anyone used a carbon front and fiberglass sides and rear?

Last question is if you can't buy just the front splitter from Chevy how is the quality with C7 and ACS? I know they are known for their carbon stuff but they do have these in stock in "gloss black"

TIA

I was looking for a splitter for my car and I found a couple of part numbers. 84116168 or 84544270 might work

Thank you Elite. I was able to order the splitter through Chevy parts. Should be in this week. I tried to take the old one off on the weekend as it looks horrible all broken and such. I removed all screws underneath and that damn thing is either taped on or riveted on as I some rivets ... like WTF!! It was installed by the dealer when I got car. Are the screws not strong enough to hold in place that molding tape/rivets are required?

There's tape, rivets, and screws.

Drill out the rivets, then get you some dental floss and gently saw through the tape. Get some Goo Gone too as you'll need to clean up the adhesive before installing the new piece.

NP. Had to replace mine too before trading in my SS. That OEM plastic is made of glass.

I had C7's splitter, it's good quality but note that it, along with several others, is a hollow bottom part with an open underside profile and a small bottom lip unlike the more complete OEM splitter. Not necessarily worse, just giving you information lest you're disappointed.

In the end I decided to let it go and get the $$$ GM splitter because I liked its look better, it "flows" more natually with the rest of the body lines IMO.

84116168 is gloss black, not metallic (which I would personally prefer for consistency, since other "low hung" parts, ie the diffuser and side skirts are also gloss black).

I ended up replacing with the RPI Designs OEM replica. Looks the same, bolted right up and was more sturdy a construction than the OEM material, but it too is hollow underneath.

Did you use rivets, tape and factory screws to reattach?

On the RPI, I just did the screws & tape. It should be fine. I can't recall if it even had holes for the rivet points.
