AWE Exhaust Fitment Issues

Has anyone had issues with a AWE Touring Axil Back exhaust system not fitting right. I had a GM Dealer do the install but they informed me it was not fitting properly and to contact AWE. I contacted AWE and tried loosening everything a couple times to adjust it but can't seem to get it looking proper. The exhaust sounds amazing but I am not to impressed with AWE customer service so far.

I'd blame the shop, its unlikely the exhaust is manufactured wrong. I've installed 3 AWE exhaust kits and none of them have fit poorly, nor have I seen anyone else with fitment issues.

Try contacting John Voss at jvoss@awe-tuning.com

I've dealt with him on all of my AWE exhaust, he's always responsive.

Looks like they started tightening everything down and worked their way back?
When mine got installed it took a couple of adjustments with everything loose to get just right before the final tightening. I agree with above it should line up fine there is a lot of adjustment in the system looks like the Dealer didn't want to take the time to do it?

I did my own install. Left everything loose until I got it where I wanted it, then tightened it down. No issues.

I agree with the posts above take it to a muffler shop Dealers aren't were you want to go with that.

Too I'll add AWE's service is indeed terrible, I had problems with mine and their slip joints and goofy pipe adapter and clamp...nothing would go together. Contacted them and they wanted a lot of pics and forms and I just said should I get welded up and leave it at that...they told me if I had it welded up they'd void the warranty and call it "modified".
They seemed to want to work with it bur put up a lot of hoops to jump through and play their games with them.

I had it welded.

Last AWE product...the product is superb is sound and function but the company aspect of it is where they suck.

AWE is wanting me to send in the exhaust to assess it. I've tried to loosen and adjust everything myself and it still looks terrible. I am going to take it to an exhaust shop for them to have a try.

I had the same goofy looking tip height mismatch you have. Took me a couple times of loosening everything up to try to find the sweet(est) spot and tightening each coupling incrementally until I got it reasonably close to what I expected it should look like. Kind of disappointed in the effort but not enough to outweigh how great it sounded to sour me on AWE.

I had trouble with the AWE system on my Hellcat. One of the mid pipes was expanded. Called AWE and they acted like it wasn’t possible and I must be mistaken. After sending pics I got a “sorry for the inconvenience” email. Took it to local shop, had it flared, and installed it. 2,000 exhaust shouldn’t have those issues.

Maybe their customer service is different these days, but a few years back when I received my catback from one of the mufflers pipes was dented (purely cosmetic) and they swapped it out for me without much pain. Just asked for a couple of pics

So AWE would not send me a replacement without sending in the one I have. I took it to a reputable muffler shop. Both hangers had to be cut and shorter ones welded on. The pipe that connects from the muffler to the factory pipe had to be cut and rolled a little. $2200 exhaust system and had to spend $450 more to make it fit. Looks a lot better now.

Their axel back system is now $2200? I paid like $1800 for their full system a few years back

All exhaust prices have gone up over the last year or two. Supply chain shortages and inflation. That being said, the AWE website shows that the axle-back exhaust system is $1300 or $1400 depending on which tips you get. $2200 would be for a full catback system. I think OP lives in Canada though.
