305 30 20 for fronts?
Will a 305 30 20 tire mounted on the SS 1le rim fit the front of the 2016 SS with out any issues. I have no problems with 19s running 305s but didn't know about a 20 inch size. I have been running 295 with out issues.

I'm not sure how that thread is supposed to help. Seems like 177 posts worth of 19" wheel discussion.
EDFHOBBIES, I don't if anybody has tried 305/30/20 tires up front. The width by itself is no problem since lots of people (including me) have run 305/30/19. The height (27.2") by itself is no problem, since lots of people (including me and Chevy) have run taller OE tires such as 245/50/18. The obvious problem is that they would be taller and fatter, and you might get some rub in the upper fender liner. I'm guessing they would still fit, but don't know for sure. They way to test it out would be to get a rear SS 1LE wheel/tire and use appropriate spacers to move it out where it needs to be and see how it works. You'll probably need 1" or 1.25" spacing.

Thanks for the info, I'm not seeing an issue with 295s 30 20 I think most people are discouraged because 10 inch rim on a 305 tire. I hope it works cuz I found some great tires at an unbelievable price .

305 are not a great fitment on 10s - it's a little pinched - but sometimes you make a compromise. For the sake of autocrossing, there isn't a good 285 or 295 option in 19 or 20 sizes, so most of use are using the 305/30/19 on the front. Some tires are okay with that. If you found the deal of the century, it's probably worth trying.

I don't know if this helps you but I'm running 305 30 20 Goodyear Supercar 3 on a set of Weld Ventura 20x10.5 with a 38 offset all around. But I had to run a 1/4 spacer just because the tire rubbed on the bottom of the strut tower where the coil spring sits. My Camaro is also lower with BMR springs and has Mag-ride

It's on the bottom where the spring sits. there seams to have a dimple there where the tire rubbed I can try and get a picture.

38mm is way too much offset for the front of a Camaro with 10" wheels. That's why he needed the spacers. You'll want wheels with around 20mm offset, which is the stock offset for SS 1LE and ZL1 car (that come with 20x10 front wheels).

You may not need a spacer, then. Try it and see. If you need one at all, 5mm should be plenty.
