Will there be a horsepower and torque increase?
Or will they update the exterior and interior?
Anything new for the 2023 ZL1 other than the price increase?

Just looking for some information when GM will release the specs on the 2023 ZL1.

Nothing new except paint colors. The information has been out for a long time.

Thanks, I guess I should've mentioned the two-color changes as well.

I'm looking for the release date on their website so I can view everything. I've heard the rumors on youtube about the Blackwing 668hp version. Thats just rumors though. Was wondering if there was anything this forum new about the 2023's?

My order was accepted as of 6/18. The event code is only the 1100-Preliminary Order. Still have to wait for the rest of the codes and then the estimated delivery date! Can't wait!

Your order wasn't accepted if you are at 1100, that just means your dealer entered it into the system. I have had an Escalade on order since November which is still at 1100.

Yep, you need to hit 2000, so that GM will build the darn thing. 1100 usually means you are still waiting for an allocation.

Even 2000 is not a build commitment, gm can still cancel the order on their end. 3000 is much better and 3400 is the golden ticket.

The BW LT4 is a LT4. It has a different lid, but that's it.


It's the fact that the Blackwing runs the GM Global B ECU that allows the higher power/tq numbers. One of the advantages to Global B is the ability to use a factory installed wideband O2 sensor. With a wideband, the hugely upgraded ECU can be more aggressive with the tune.


With no tuning changes...a shop put on a ported LT4 blower and picked up 60hp. All because the ECU/wideband could compensate.






Another thing the ZL1 won't get is MRC4. The new version of MagRide requires Global B because it has additional sensors at each wheel.

Don't look for anything but cosmetic changes for the final model year.

Good point. When the supply chain was healthy you could pretty much count on your car being built but no guarantees now.
