Don't get me wrong I've owned several manual transmission cars over the years and hate to see that option go but at the end of the day I think it's going to take the car getting more of a collector status before it yield more money for the 6GEN stick shift option.
Agreed, none of the dealers in my area will order a car for Camaro for inventory with a manual. It needs to be a customer ordered car. They all say they just takes longer to sell. In this market it wouldn't really matter but back when supply was at normal levels you just have a much smaller pool of buyers to sell to so they don't want to risk having a bunch of $50k+ vehicles sitting on the lot.

The exceptions are Miatas, manuals outsell autos. 76% of soft tops are manual, 52% of RFs sold are manual. GR86/BRZ is probably pretty close to 50/50 take rate on the manual as well.

Okay. Try cars.com. Look for 2019 ZR1’s. Manuals bring WAY more than the auto’s.

I think with that particular car, I think you are talking collector since those are big money.

Typical banter on M7 vs. A8. Lots of references of the A10 in the ZL1 as well in this thread.

KBB is based off national sales and it does show the ZL1 brings more money for the manual but by only a few hundred dollars. You are also picking the one unicorn out of the line up that also has a very low production all the way around.

My local dealer had a 2022 Camaro SS 1LE on the lot a few months back, it set for weeks while everything else was gone. I know the sales manger and stopped in to pick up a few items and asked about it. His first comment was
"Well if it was an auto it would already be gone".

While it seems more balanced on our forum you have got mostly Camaro enthusiast here. I can remember when GM introduced the new dark green in the Camaro colors and everyone on here said it looks great and would sell like hot cakes, it was dropped after the first year because of poor response.

Unfortunately the forum doesn't accurately represent the masses

Again let me add if someone doesn't read my last post I've owned several manual muscle and sports cars... But my point is the indicators show on average the stick doesn't pull more money and has a limited crowed.
The classics is a whole different ballgame.

Off topic: I just looked at your previous cars and what you drive... My first car was a 1975 Trans Am... I owned several TAs over the years, my daily is a 2017 Colorado Z71....LOL

All I have to say is I can watch this over and over.
I dont think it would arouse me as much if it were an auto.
But like I said earlier. Theres no argument that the autos perform better today.

No doubt but the A10 version in this video looks pretty entertaining as well.

Whenever I see someone with what seems like a cool car, my first question is always "is it a manual?". If they say "naw", then I say "nevermind"....

What if it was a Ferrari or McClaren or even a C8 Corvette?

I traded my Tesla Model 3 Performance for a ZL1 A10. Other than 0-60 the ZL1 is the better performer.

Ferraris still have character in auto form so I still think they’re cool. I actually do not think mclarens are cool, but I respect them because they are so fast. I do not think the c8 is cool simply because it doesn’t come in a manual. I’ll take a c6 z06 over a c8 any day of the week.

It’s true? Trade in value is lower in a manual I experienced this first hand. Autos will bring more unless you find someone who is only looking for a manual. With the A10 out there just isn’t a need for a manual unless it’s just what you
really want.
