And some pics of the finished calipers. Not sure how I'm feeling them right now and they need something, just not sure what. Considering the Camaro logo in white or silver or maybe something else creative.

They just need a contrasting color pop somewhere. For the fronts, I'd pull the slider pins and any of the other hardware, clean off the orange paint, and re-do them in black or something.

Got the rock guards on the car! Zl1 add on's shipped em out super quick and couldn't wait to get them installed. They're just 4 flat pieces of plastic with some spacers and 3m tape. Rears need the rear tires removed for installation and the fronts can be put on with just turning the wheels. Only things I did different were the addition of extra 3m tape and extra washers for the spacers on the rear guards.

These things are great! Car was already starting to get some stone chips in front of the back wheels so these are a necessary addition (in my opinion) to any camaro that's going to be daily driven. It's also nice to have these on the car to keep the track rubber deposits off the body.

I am a massive fan of the rock guards. Not just for rocks, but for random water spray that you FREQUENTLY find here in Vegas from people over watering their lawns.

You know those guys that tape up behind the wheels with painters tape to keep the track rubber down? After racing at the track a few weeks ago it doesn't sound so crazy. lol. I spent about an hour scrubbing rubber off the paint later that day so these rock guards really do a nice job keeping the paint clean.

Griot’s Garage has a product called Track Spray which helps a ton. Just spray it on the “rubberized” areas, let it soak for a minute, then wipe it all off. Helps prevent swirl marks induced by the aggressive scrubbing you would normally do.

Found it:

I'll have to order some of this and give it a shot. Always looking for new products to test out.

That 2.0 wasn't anywhere near as fast as the LT1
Just felt peppy because the turbo spooled up quickly

One thing that really helped the 4cyl was that it was lighter and I had really low gears in it. (3.73's from a manual SS) Been thinking a lot about why it was soo much more fun to drive over this car and I'm convinced its that the gearing in the v8 is waaay to darn high. On a hill in traffic I have to slip the clutch to almost 10mph just to not stall out which is a shame because we can't get any lower options since the v8 manuals already come with 3.73's. I'd put down money that my old 4cyl would beat the lt1 in the 8th mile.

Did the diff fluid change a couple weeks ago in preparation for the second drag event with the car. Had $85 in gm points left over from purchasing the car and guess how much 2 bottles of 75-90w and 2 bottles of friction modifier were? $83! lol. At least it didn't cost me anything. Did the second oil change with some mobile 1 0w-40 but having a hard time finding the normal blend so just went with the European formula. After some research turns out this blend has a little more zinc in it but is still apparently dexos rated.

All went really easy. Just a 3/8's ratchet to remove the drain plug on the diff and a squeeze bottle to put the new fluid in. Definitely shake up the fiction modifier before that goes in so all the little clumps of particulates mix up properly.

Second drag event at Quaker City went well and threw down a new personal best of 12.8 and won all 4 races. (1 by default against another SS auto that red lighted out) Car is quick but can't seem to get my 60' under 2 seconds. Now the auto SS was running 12.5's with a 1.8 60' all night long. Either I blow the tires off or bog and can't seem to find the sweet spot and it seems to not like being launched hard. If anyone has any tips I need em.

Lastly, been trying to find a used intake online for the car and wasted a couple weeks trying to get a rotofab off instagram. Long story short, I gave the $ and got nothing in return. GRRRRR!!! I'll try again next pay and PSA: don't sent Camero_warehouse any money on instagram. It's a fake account.
