OK by the sounds of it from all the responses it’s around 10.8 on average to the very top line

I think it depends on if your car is hot or cold when changing. I change mine cold and 10 quarts was spot on. I could see 10 quarts expanding to 10.5 when warm as well as more coming out.

Oil amount

My 2020 2SS takes exactly 11qts. for the pan and filter and my differential takes 2 qts.

That’s what I have always done.

Since we all have the same oil pan and dipstick, the only thing I can think of that explains the difference in how far up the stick 10 QTs gets us is how you are sampling the oil level.

The thing that is annoying with checking the oil in the Camaro is that when you pull the dipstick out to take a measurement, it drags oil up onto the side wall of the tube. Thus, after you clean and reinsert to the dipstick to take a reading, the oil in the tube gets on the stick above where it would otherwise be and makes the reading look "full" when it really isn't. The giveaway is that the other side of the stick will have a lower reading (closer to the true level). To mitigate this, you have to wait 10 minutes between pulling the dipstick to clean and when you reinsert it to take the reading.

Any chance you guys with the "full" reading are pulling, cleaning, and reinserting the dipstick immediately?
