Well, yes, but how safe are they in terms of reflection? Don’t the factory ones serve as reflectors in addition to lights? I think that’s what we are asking.

My Diode Dynamics clear led side markers do provide reflection (bright white reflection in the dark when I tested them) which was important for me. They also state "DOT", so they must have met some requirement to be approved by the Department of Transportation. So some type of reflection is better than none IMO. Why not be safe...

Diode Dynamics are very reflective.

++1 the DD ones are every bit as reflective as stock, plus the LED's are way brighter.

Right.. I'm thinking about getting the amber/red ones from Diode.

My question was more for the tinted option. There's a thread about Diode in another section of the site, and some users (buyers) state the clear/tinted are not reflective unlike the red/amber ones.

I ended up ordering the DD clear markers from Phastek at the Camaro Fest. I saw several Summit White Camaros with both tinted and clear. Ultimately I chose clear because they blend very well with the white and the diamond cut lense looks great! I can see that they will be very reflective. Can’t wait to get them! I’ll post pics when I get them installed.

Finally got my Diode Dynamics clear sidemarkers installed. I really like the clear, they blend well with the white and are dot reflective. I can always install smoke overlays if I decide to go smoked. They’re way brighter than the stock ones!

Actually tint does reduce visibility at night.

I had tinted windows on my 5th gen and hated it at night. They definitely affected nighttime visibility! They look great but I agree are not too safe at night!

Looks great. Congrats on the decision and the purchase.
