This could be the key as I don't know whether "all season" tires would be considered proper in this context. These cars were designed to run with very sticky "summer" tires.

Modern Continental all-seasons are pretty good. I'm afraid we may be grasping at tire straws at this point, and 455 crank hp (400-ish rwhp with the M6) isn't insanely high either for "normal" tires under "normal" circumstances. We should probably talk torque and not hp anyway.

It definitely isn't normal for the rear end to continously wag or feel unstable, so the alignment is 100% worth having. If it still doesn't tighten up the rear enough for OP, then I agree the next thing is extreme performance summer tires, then the BMR suspension parts cannon (for the record, I only have their rear cradle lockout kit and it's enough for 735 rwhp and Michelin PS4S here, once the tires hook, the rear is rock stable).

The other part is that some of the Conti's have a high treadwear rating (comparatively speaking) - are those variable compound? If so, they get -very- squirrely once you've worn away the softest portion of the tread on the outside.

I agree, though... lots of variables that could come in to play so it's bit of a "shotgun blast" approach of things to look at.

Rear sub frame bushings. Either do the BMR inserts or go to a solid bushing.

Well it’s not tires and multiple alignments

Meh. Seems normal to me. Mine broke loose very easily on the stock Goodyears, especially when I had to accellerate from a dig to jump into traffic.

My ZlE was real wormy when I first got it. Took it in for an alignment and it wouldnt align to spec on the rear. Bought all the BMR stuff and it was like a different car. Now, even if it does break the tires loose, it doesnt feel like the back end is going to come around

I’ve experienced that kind of wiggle, but only under WOT while doing a hard lane change, also on Continentals, not in a straight line WOT. I chalk it up to the tires and me being a little too abrupt straightening out in the new lane. Increases the pucker factor a bit when you’re at triple digit speeds.

You do hard WOT lane changes at triple digit speeds, and only see a slight problem when you straighten out the wheel too abruptly? Impressive, even at stock power level (if I did this, my post count would probably stop increasing for good )

Lol. I don’t know about that. I suspect you’re a better driver than I am.
