All good CVP33!

I sure hope that when the C8 ZR1 comes out, it will compete very well against Porsche, McLaren, Ferrari, Audi (Lamborghini), Maserati, Lotus, etc. From a value play, the C8 Platform as been a huge success. I completely understand why you love the C8, I mean, it looks the part and performs as well as it's competitors 2X or more the price. Looks are subjective, but I think the new C8 and C8 Z look as good if not better than most of the competition. That said, the GT2RS, GT3RS, Huracan STO, F8, etc. all look pretty sharp too!

Now get out to the track and enjoy your cars!

He knew the limitations of F/E and most know the fact that the C7Z was actually supposed to be M/E had it not been for the cash crisis at GM. GM kept up with Porsche which was amazing, more amazing is they could’ve leap frogged them.

I hate the way the C8 looks. Hates a strong word. I prefer the C7 all day long. And yes I’ve seen a C8 in person and driven one. (Non-Z06) Styling is just a little overdone for me. But can’t argue with the performance and bang for the buck.

This is my exact opinion also.

Looks like they smashed a little face on a giant ass, from any angle - in person

C7 is the modern stingray "retro", the lines just match up perfect at any angle - in person

C8 > all other GM in performance. And they have done that pretty much since 1953, figuratively speaking.

That understeer that leads to snap oversteer is what you noted several times...

LOL Yup! Tryna tell deez neggaz. hahaha

The driver did nothing wrong. The C8 Stingray doesn't make that kind of power to snap the wheels loose. My 5 year old could drive it. He went into the corner and the damn car wouldn't turn. The rear broke loose at steady maintenance throttle and bam, taken out. Imagine if that was a tight road in the Upstate NY Mountains. The car would have been in a ditch or off a cliff.

ME doesn't automatically equal a "Superior" car. There are soooo many factors and the final result is almost always the sum of its parts.

What a newb. Trail braking and pinching the car at apex. He did plenty wrong. Would’ve done better to drift it. What a moron. Classic fast in, fast out? Yeah, that’s not a thing. Proof that even a great chassis can’t fix stupid.

Thumbs up

I'm not a pro driver and neither a brand fan, I loved my C7 Z51 as well of my 6th gen Camaro SS, but I also like the facts, like most of us. The non highly tech but greatly engineered front heavy 10 cylinders Viper ACR was posting during its time the fastest laps in our US tracks. Also the C7 Grand Sport is faster at VIR compared to the ME C8 Z51. But GM recognized that they already reached their top of performance by their FE C7 Chassis, it's why they went ME, and the C8 Z06 has proven to be one of the best world performance sport car, but not yet at the level of performance of the prior 991 Porsche GT2RS. On other hand MT hated the performance on their best driver's cars reviews of the C7 Chassis Corvettes, and also the C7 Z06 was overheating everywhere. Their only exception that MT praised as very well balanced was the C7 Grand Sport Corvette that even beat a Porsche 911 Carrera S on their comparison. But they always spoke very highly of the well mannered Alpha chassis on the 6th gen Camaro (a prior model BMW M2 Comp & M4 beater).

So I couldn't wait to post how the inferior Front Engine design of the "NASCRAP" haha Garage 56 which is 200 lbs heavier than everything in the GTE class, lapped faster than every Porsche, Aston Martin, and C8 Corvette in the GTE class at Le Mans.

Me too, but a source in this thread earlier stated that it would take 850hp to keep up with a ME car.

The new C8Z beat the GT2RS as did the ZR1. The only GT2RS that it didn’t beat was the Weissach package ($18K) with tons of carbon fiber, 3,241 lbs and a $293K base price tag, $335K optioned.
