Just curious what truly determines what you get an allocation for that it's broken down to a certain trim level or a few trim levels? Like in the allocation you can get say a 3LT or a 1SS but you can't get a 2SS or ZL1 non-1LE.

1LE and 2SS orders are barely being picked up. Only people that have older orders in are being accepted for the rest of 23 model year. You may can get lucky and get one for the 24 year when ordering opens up.

Ouch. Didn't think when I ordered it that it would be so ify. But since plunking the money down, it's gotten bleaker. At this point I'm just hoping for a chance at the 24s.

As expected, heard from the dealer, no go on a 23 2SS 1LE. So IF prices stay the same, we'll try for the 24, but I'll have to change the color. You know,for a car company that was consistently last in sales in THIS sports car segment, it sure seems like GM just doesn't care if they sell them or not. I mean, you announce the end of an icon, normally a sales pitch like no other, but then tell half the customers, sorry we're not going to try and sell as many as possible, tough sh**. And this CE package is a bad joke, but typical GM: overpriced and under deliver.
As much as I want to love GM, they make it impossible. How this company stays in business doing business like this is beyond me.

Camaro and CT4/5 sell in such tiny numbers I doubt the plant even breaks even - probably a huge loss. But it lets GM claim to employ people there and keep the union from having a fit, when HQ just wants to bulldoze it and force-retire everybody. If it wasn't for grotesquely overpriced trucks, none of the big 3 would still be listed on the Exchange.
