I saw a ton of MT out there which is not surprising. I didn't have any confidence these tires would work at the strip this year. Tried 16# to 25# but nothing helped.

Yes sir, you are past the point where multi-purpose tires are going to work for max straight line performance. At least you can take comfort in knowing you tried.

R888R is not a drag strip tire, period. Great rolling racing and high HP street car tire, but that’s it. At the drag strip, time to break out the drag pack my friend.

I've got a set of 17x10 bead locks and I dusted them off when I got back home. Someone said the MT ETS R is now hard to find. I think I need the P315/50R17

305/45 is a 28” tall tire that will fit your wheel well and should play nice with your front runner tire (need to be within 1” of each other). The 315 is a 50 aspect tire that is 29.4” tall…probably going to be a problem on both fronts.

My fronts are 26.65 in. and Mickey is 28.1. Close enough.

Front and rear needs to be under 1" difference or stabilitrak freaks out. So I wouldn't do the 315/50.
Either way, not much you can do as hard as that blower is spinning to get traction. I could pull timing out of it down low but I still don't think it does enough. You might consider a smooth boost controller so you can lower boost on the hit.
