Misfires mainly on cold mornings while running E after Texas Speed long tubes, ported LT2 manifold, and flex fuel tune.

It appears to be bank 1 only and cyl 3 and 5 both with over 300 misfires detected.

Any ideas? Plugs look fine and were changed 1000 miles ago. I am using AC Delco OEM plugs.

Does it misfire on Pump gas? Run some Lucas Ethanol treatment periodically as a preventative measure. E85 likes to gel up on the tips of injectors over time.

Will Techron break different compounds than Lucas?

If not redundant, Techron works well for me

Techron is a good cleaner. I just run the Lucas because it stabilizes all blends of Ethanol and cleans.

my 18 SS would stumble at start w/ E85 when cold too, I upgraded my coil packs to MSD ones and she purrs like a kitten on start now even in the dead of winter here in Michigan.

I run the Lucas per your recommendation. It’s in my car as it sits in storage.

Same here. A bottle of Lucas in with my E blend before I park the car for each winter.

Btw Josh, where do you get your pump E85? or do you use the pure stuff out of the 5 gal containers. Only place I know is the 2 stations right on the Mass Pike right around the interstate Rt 84 area.

Yep, my office is in Auburn and the Mass Pike gas station is about 10 minutes away at the Charlton stop…so I load my E85 jugs in the Expedition a few times a year and fill them all up.

Thank you bud, I will reach out to you regarding The valley. I am looking at the last week in April, a friday rental, and a rental that I belong to on may 5th.
I never went to a rental like the one we were at late in October, it was light that day. There was no one in the other lane on my 1 and only pass. BTW, I have stored some E85 in plastic 6 gal gas jugs and it stores just fine inside tightly sealed.

That late October rental was perfect! Great weather and would have had plenty of runs had I not broke the blower belt…

Yeah I’m hoping to hit that same 4/28 rental but not sure if my new blower will in by then (plus install and tuning time…).

Another thing Josh, what time of year do you buy E85, I believe the winter blend is like E50, the highest I have seen up at the place we get it is E70.
What month do you think the summer blend goes into affect?
