The Canadian ZLE Order Room

Hello my fellow Canadians!

As well all know, ZLE allocations are hard to come by in Canada. I wanted to create a thread where everyone could talk about their orders and also speculate on their thoughts about ZLE production and availability here in Canada.

Who all is on the ZLE order roller coaster?

I’ll go first.

I have a 23 ZLE m6 on order in shadow grey. I have 2 deposits at two dealers. A lot of people have told me that I should just buy used. They’ve said that it’s unlikely that I’ll get an allocation. I am going risk it and to try to get a new one.

I'll go second. '23 ZLE order placed November 5th (Rapid Blue, M6, PDR). Let's just say I'm not getting my hopes up due to the 1LE package, manual and PDR. Also on a list for a CT4-V Blackwing (would get one or the other) because I honestly think the ZLE won't happen.

What province are you in? What did your dealer say about possibly of getting the ZLE allocation?

I'm in Ontario. He didn't say much to be honest. He showed me a screen listing current allocations for Canada and the ZL1 1LE had zero across the board. I'm assuming this doesn't mean much since this probably changes on a weekly basis. The only other thing he mentioned was about the tires.....something along the lines of orders / allocations in northern climates will be put on hold until February or so.

That thing about the tires may be legit... I recall an issue with many ZL1 1LEs shipped during the winter with large cracks in their tires that dealers had to then replace.

I placed my order on Sept 27, ‘23 ZLE M6 Black, in the GTA. First in line for a ZLE at the dealer with only 1 regular ZL1 ahead of me. I was told I would get allocation and that the car should arrive by summer 23. I believe dealers get a new allocation list every Thursday

I think you can call customer service with your order # and they can look it up

Having 2 orders at 2 different dealers will have your order flagged at GM as a potential exporter. Not a good idea if you want a car...

It’s not exactly true. ZLE’s are manually allocated to Canadian dealers. None of my dealers put an order in - the deposit only held my spot as number one should they be selected by gm for allocation.

A sold order needs to be submitted to GM. Dealerships without orders will not be considered for an allocation. Also, by not submitting an order you will not get any sort of price protection.
