Ah I see, I’m starting to see 23 ZLE’s getting delivered in the US now so hopefully they put some allocation to Canada

Just ordered a '23 SS Vert today , hoping it shows up by April - dealer said is kind of random how the orders have been picked up by Lansing

Ordered my 2020 in January 2020 and had it in March , just before they closed the Lansing plant due to Covid that was kind of lucky - they opened the dealership for a morning to deliver it to me, even the dealer was closed at the beginning of Covid

Giving them 5 months lead time here, hopefully no issues - dealer turns pretty good volume so would think allocations will come his way - think the 2SS is on constraint though , that applies to mine

Scratch my head at the freight charge of $1995, I'm two hours away from the plant, if they let me pick it up I would go get it and save them the trouble

Did you check to see if any dealers have what you are looking for in stock? Last time I checked, for whatever reason there were twice as many convertibles as coupes in dealer inventories, at least within a 500 KM radius of the GTA. Otherwise, best of luck with the allocation. Things have changed completely in the past couple of years. I've been waiting 14 months now for my dealer to get a 2SS 1LE allocation, whereas when I bought my 2018, they had plenty of allocations and several Camaro's on the lot. To make matters worse, from the last conversation I had with my dealer, SS's are on constraint until February due to issues with the tires in the cold. The allocation system sucks and appears to be completely random as to which dealers get what. But you might get lucky, seeing as they are pumping out convertibles these days.

I've looked online around southern Ontario, nothing at a dealer that meets my specs. I'm willing to wait , the dealer I am thru is a pretty big dealer and will get allocations. No SS's in front of me at order at this dealership, there is a 1LE on order with them.

The Camaro SS would not be on constraint due to summer only tires, otherwise the Corvette plant would be shut down as well due to summer only tires. Every C8 comes with summer only tires, those get built and shipped all year round.

I ordered a C7 first year and followed that sequencing on the forums. Occasionally there are problems with the tires, that is true. They can be damaged at 20F if rolled which complicates winter deliveries for many northern areas. It is the chip situation that most impacts the 2SS models with all the electronics. I ordered a 2SS so it will be on constraint and slower to arrive.

The 1LE model has a lot of add on's, PDR's, mag ride etc.. not surprised small volume add on's would have issues at the supplier level as well as the add'l chips like the 2SS. More chips the car needs the smaller the production levels until that chip issue gets ironed out which doesn't look like anytime soon. With interest rates rising that may take the heat off auto sales this year so that could relieve some pressure on production.

I would not necessarily trust much coming out of dealers so far as constraints, my experience even with the top Corvette dealer in the country is they are never really on top of that. Not their job, all about sales. Likely get better info from the forums, the Corvette guys are particularly good at relaying constraint and parts issues, production delays etc.. Been on the Camaro one, looks like a lot less people are following it closely here so not quite as up to date as the 'Vette forums.

If all else fails I have some connections thru GM that I will get involved. I will monitor the status level and if things get hung up then make some calls. Since I already have a Camaro no big deal if it shows up in May even. Kinda targeting April based on the sequencing I have been seeing with production online here. I imagine GM's order flow slows for Camaro's in winter, as I mentioned maybe more so now financing costs have risen as well for prospective buyers.

Oh yea 100% if your not in to much of a rush id wait for what you want also. Without the 1LE add on your good to get the car anytime!

I always take dealership info with a grain.. Iv learned so much more from this forum on what to expect from things (Except for how fast my 1LE came lol)

I hope the interest rates don’t increase too much next year. Would hate to back out for that reason

Placed an order November 5th for a ZL1 1LE knowing it probably won't happen, but we'll see. I think the secret is if you can somehow convince them you're Ron Fellows and you need more of them for your CTMP Driving Experience

yea really!! I was supposed to be at 3.48% with a banks employee dicount.. But of course at the staring of November they changed the staff rate to 4.93%.. Still better than the dealership can offer for the term length but would have been nicer with less!!

Worst case situation if the interest rates drop in the coming years ill refinance it through a different way to change the rate.. If im able to somehow lol

Refinancing is probably the best route
