WINDSCREEN
How many of you guys have the windscreen and and you put the top up and down without it interfering with the windscreen up?

Many threads on this.
Buy it. Stays up all the time (unless you need to use back seat). You will not be disappointed.

It's literally designed to be left in the up position all the time if you choose. I never touch mine.

Mine stays up all the time, unless I'm driving with the top up (rare). My rear window is tinted and with the top up the screen + the window tint makes it hard to see out the back in the RVM. I can push it down or raise it up while driving if need be just by reaching back with my right arm (clicks into the up position, so just a little extra push to overcome the lock). I have the GM screen.

It is awesome. Mine stays up 100% but I have the digital mirror.

How does the digital mirror change the reduced visibility of the mesh from the
windscreen? |

I personally hate the camera-based mirror. I almost never drive my car with the top up and using the mirror with the camera leaves a LOT to be desired (for me) because it's much harder to use than a traditional mirror when the sun is hitting it. |

I've had the GM windscreen for a few years now. It is very effective and is worth the money I spent on it, but I only use it when the passenger requests it or if the outside temp is really low (I've driven with my top down with temp as low as 40°F). For the most part, my rule is, if the top is down, the windows (and windscreen) are down.
Off-topic: I am not a fan of the rear camera mirror. Have one in my 2022 Blazer. Your focal point is so close vs. a traditional mirror, I feel like I'm going cross eyed when I use it.

Totally agree. It hurts my eyes to look at it and I feel like the slight delay in focusing my eyes on it means my eyes are off of the road for too long. |

Mannax, Ember:
I slot in right between you two. I always have the windscreen up (unless bringing the dog somewhere), but almost always have the windows down. Feels like as long as I'm not much higher than 70 MPH, radio and phone are still OK. (Realize that that can definitely be pavement-quality related.) Only exception to windows is on a long highway trip, where the wind (and possibly tire) roar would become bothersome; just did one like that, ~1,400 mi., top down / windows up the whole time. Update to a previous data point, in case the OP is worried about the windscreen vis-a-vis strong bursts of throttle: whereas on some other thread I reported that the thing neither flew off nor collapsed, with windows down, at 111 MPH, I can now state that it also did neither, with windows up, at 114.

I drive on toll roads & interstates at 80+ if the flow of traffic is going that fast, and always have the windows down & windscreen up. Never have a problem hearing anything - I just can't drive with the windows up & top down.
