ZL1 - oil suggestions

First oil change away from the dealer and several hours in to researching on this forum for which oil to put in my ZL1. About ready to just throw whatever the quick lube has that is at least Dexos 1 certified. Had no idea oil for this car was this complicated. can someone point to something that can be bought at Walmart or I was thinking Pennzoil ultra platinum or Pennzoil Platinum which can be found at the local quick lube. Keep in mind it's not daily driven and it may do 4-5 passes at the drag strip per year other than that just cruising. Thanks!!

Mobil 1 in your owners manual recommended grade. If you track, the 0w-40 Supercar seems to be the go-to for the ZL1.

Castrol Syntec(?) is dexos2 and available at Chinamart in 0W40.

It's hard to find the M1 SuperCar or whatever on the mainstream shelf. The Castrol isn't marked on the bottle as Dexos2 but it's on GMs list.

I buy 3 or 4 different grades/brands of synthetic oil for my vehicles. amazon either matches or beats walmart prices for all. Factor in the time and gas expense and it's a no-brainer. i realize I am already paying for the gas with my prime subscription, but my family has an incurable addiction, so prime is a given.

AutoZone deal mailed to your home. Lots of ways to triple dip their oil bundles.

The owner's manual says that 5W-30 Dexos2 is fine for street use. I had to do my first oil change on Day 3 of owning the car since I drove it back from Texas. I used the Mobil 1 5W-30 Dexos 2 since I had cases of it from my 2012 ZL-1. I would think you would be fine with the same oil.
