Your best bet is honestly to come here. Lots of us have access to service manuals, and have affiliations with GM, or know specific people who developed and worked on the 6th Gen. Platform.

Looks like the diff fluid is on sale at Amazon for $16.34 a quart!

ACDelco GM Original Equipment 10-4034 Dexron LS 75W-90 Gear Oil - 32 oz

The bottle design has changed though, and it uses a wide mouth opening now. You can use this pump now if you don't already have one:

Slippery Pete Fluid Pump for Gallon Bottles and Wide Mouth Quart Bottles

Awesome to hear! I’ll have another one soon on getting a factory ZL1 “track ready.”

Are you getting confused about the eLSD clutch fluid? That fluid is NOT what needs to be changed after 1500 miles and before the first track day.

As mjk said, it's very easy and intuitive to changes rear gear oil.

Raise vehicle,
Remove fill plug,
Remove drain plug,
Drain oil,
Replace drain plug,
Fill rear end with fluid (1.2qt)
Replace fill plug,
Lower vehicle,
Drive vehicle for a few circles (left and right),
Raise vehicle,
Remove fill,
Check level (fill as needed),
Reinstall fill,
Lower vehicle,
Done

I think the confusion is believing the eLSD constitutes the need for different "gear oil", that's false. The eLSD needs a separate change (when needed, not after 1500 miles) of clutch fluid 5.4oz.

For a simple gear oil change, nothing is special or different for 1le equipped vehicles
If we use a different gear oil, say Redline 75W-90 does the diff need the friction additive? Redline says it meets the GM spec for "Dexron®L.S. Gear Oil 88862624". Does GM sell it separately? Do we have a part number?

That is the part number that includes the friction modifier. If the Redline bottle says it meets the requirements, then it should not need any additional friction modifiers.
