2023 Camaro build quality question

I have been out of a Camaro since 2019. Has the later years improved? Im considering purchasing a 2023 ZL1.

I have 1 23 ZL1, only 640 miles on it, but no issues in general.

Something specific you are worried about?

I Just remember the 8 speed shutter, the Rear End Moan on cold starts, the front end work on the 1LE because of pops, and the RPM Gauge going crazy due to a bad connection.

It does seem the build quality has gotten better just wanted to see what you guys think.

I had a 2013 ss and I got rid of it for a reason. I've now picked up a 2023 ss convertible and I will say the build quality appears to have improved in my opinion. I've had mine for right around a month and have 2000 miles on it already

They went with a 10 speed transmission in 2019, and so far they seem to be holding up very well. The shudder issue is gone. I love my 10 speed.

I had a 5th gen Camaro that was built in the GM Oshawa Canada plant- fit, finish, and paint was first rate and great quality. Bought a 2021 Camaro RS vert built in the Lansing Grand River plant. Fit, finish and paint was sub par- quality control lacking to say the least. Wonder if the caddy’s being built in the same plant are just being shoved out the door like the Camaros are. I don’t think mine was a one off issue as I have seen other new Camaros on the dealer lots that have the same quality issues as well. All 6th gen should have been built in Oshawa plant due to quality and workmanship in that plant.

Pretty bad I'd say. Bought mine new. Has multiple rattles from interior panels. Dash randomly restarts itself. Sometimes my infotainment buttons don't work when you press them. Blindspot monitoring stops working sometimes. Steering wheel buttons stop working sometimes.

My 23 ZL1 is immaculate IMHO. Not a single issue, anywhere.

They fixed the shudder in the 8-speed with a different formulation to the fluid.

MY 1LE is 6-MT, but my 2018 Canyon has the 8-speed. It began to experience the shudder in August of 2019, right around the time the TSB came out.

Great. Seems more people think it has improved. Thanks guys.

I placed several orders for a ZL1 M6 with PDR. Hoping to get it this year from what I have read on the constraints.

The so-called cold start rear end moan is a feature of the limited slip diff, not a problem.

I hear more of my interior on rough road after 1 year of ownership. Was solid new. But I also did 7k miles in Michigan which says a lot, LoL. No other issues what so ever.

I just bought a 2SS vert. I've got 700 miles on it and I noticed dash rattles at just over 100 miles.

Build quality seems fine. Not perfect, but about the same as my 2017 Yukon and 2018 Silverado.

Only issues were a wrinkle in the alcanterra steering wheel covering and the driver's seat belt was twisted. Both were fixed under warranty. Otherwise it's been fine.
