Camaro SS vs Trackhawk

Do I have any chance ? Only mods are Rotofab, E85 tune and drag radials
No digs we’ll be doing low rolls (30) rolls and a 60 roll, at my friends privately owned road btw

You have a good chance from a roll even vs. a 707 hp Trackhawk.

Stock for stock:
Trackhawk: 60-100 mph = 5.3 sec, 1/4 mile 12.0 @ 115 mph
SS (auto): 60-100 mph = 5.0 sec, 1/4 mile 12.2 @ 118 mph (115 mph for the M6).

Trackhawk weighs 5,250 lbs; ~3/4 ton heavier than your SS. The SS (auto) traps 3 mph more than the Trackhawk despite having a lot less power, and does 60-100 mph more quickly. I'd say with your mods you have a very good shot at beating him from a roll.

Full 707, just for fun, but come on if he did race me in 500hp mode in his 5300lbs Jeep when I’m making around 500hp and weigh around 3600lbs is that fair 😂

I’ve seen them run, and tbh for 700hp not very impressive however it is about as heavy as a tank so

That’s exactly what I was thinking it would be somewhat competitive, was just wondering if anyone else has already done it

That's true, but the Hellcat engine is no joke even in that whale. You have some mods, but still, just compare these torque/hp curves.

It'll be interesting, my prediction is he'll smoke you in the first 100 feet, then you'll win in the end unless it's cut short or you mess up the start (but why would you). Assuming you're both auto. And that your friend has a long, safe private road with smooth blacktop and no cross traffic.

The Hellcat engine is severely under-rated. They claim "707" but in truth they are closer to 760 or even 780. Most 15-17 Hellcats were dynoing in the 650 RWHP range with some dynoing in the 680 RWHP range. That is why I asked if he will be in 500 HP mode. Even with your mods I doubt you will have a chance of beating him from a roll. I'm not saying he is gonna walk you. But I do think he will slowly pull on you.

You've claimed this 5.0 second 60 to 100 time before, and I wondered and ask which test you used as reference. I assume it's the car and driver a10, which they actually got 4.9 (3.9/8.8), since that seemed to be where you got the GT a10 60-100 when you posted it on the gt500/zl1/c8 thread, car and driver also had a 2016 a8 that took 5.0 (3.9/8.9) seconds and an m6 that took 4.8 (4.0/8.8, the long term car). Either way 5.0 is hardly different from 4.9 but it's interesting that your math for the mustangs 60-100 is always correct.

Yeah you're right, I think I transposed the 0-100 times for the A8 vs A10 in my mind.

A8 was 3.9/8.9 and 12.3 @ 116 per C&D
A10 was 3.9/8.8 and 12.2 @ 118 mph per C&D

I assume he likely has the A8 or M6 since the A10 wasn't available until the 2019 model year. If he's a good driver (w/ the M6) from a roll, the SS should pull away, esp. with his mods. If his car is the A10, all the better are his chances.

Yea the m6 should pull away but like you said definitely need a capable driver.

No way, Camaro is losing unless it’s like 130mph plus

Trackhawk hero time is like 11.3@119, hero 0-60 is 3.0 seconds
Camaro is like 12.0@118, hero 0-60 is 3.9 seconds

Which means from a roll, with a very good Camaro driver it would be fairy even with a slight edge to the jeep.

From slow speed, forget about it
