Hot wheels vs Shock

This car has been on my radar since it was announced. I am a sucker for orange cars ever since I owned a 2012 2SS IOM (traded it in once the baby was coming because of financial situations)

The dealer 30 miles from me has a 2SS Hot Wheels edition fully loaded with every option (MRC, dual exhaust, nav, auto, etc.) and it's brand new with 60 miles for only ~42k.

The SAME dealer has a 2SS shock color camaro with all the options I would want too (MRC, dual exhaust, auto, nav, etc) and it's also brand new for ~42K.

Honestly I love them both, but can't afford both.

What should I get?

I've got a 19 zL1 in shock, and the color is amazing! (If you like bright attention grabbing colors).
Looks different colors in different lighting conditions. That hot wheels orange is nice too, but I say Shock all the way.

If you're going to keep it long term: Hot Wheels

With the Hot Wheels, you get the collector's edition bonus.

the Hot Wheels Crush all the way. It's a better color than Shock, and the 2018 styling is better by far.

Wow, results are pretty 50/50 so far. Glad it wasn’t just me being torn.

I’m leaning toward the hot wheels for its rarity, but the 10 speed, refresh, and unique shock color still makes me 2nd guess.

I picking the Hotwheels edition strictly for the better looking front end. I am not crazy about the black bar across the front of the 2019 Crush car.

The Shock only b/c it's a '19 with the A10. I wouldn't touch an '18 A8 and deal with the potential A8 shudder headaches. No brainer to get the '19 if it's the same price too.

2018 in Orange Crush, better value, cooler tail lights.

There is a reason the 2018 is the same price, 2019s aren't looked at fondly by GM, a screw up, justifying a 1 yr refresh. They cant wait to get past 2019 debacle.

hot wheels , i saw both in person hot wheels at a auto show and just seen the shock at the local dealer 2 weeks ago , but the hot wheels got the best interior black with all the orange trim looks tons better than a regular interior.

Thanks for all the contribution! I had to decide yesterday because the dealer told me another buyer had interest, but they were giving me first grabs. I decided to pass and set my sights on the shock color. I’ll ship around a little more since they are a little more available and possibly wait till some really good deals pop up.

Things happen for a reason. Chevy is hawking leftover orange calipers, knee pads and seatbelts on the 2020s. The 2018 Hot Wheels could be rarer down the road.
