That fleet page has a lot of info https://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NA...&page=&butID=1
This might be kind of blurry, but from the looks of it the suspension is the same as the ss. If you go to the link click on the Mechanical section (on the left) and scroll all the way down for the suspension section. |

I'd take one over an SS for less money. Lighter and probably faster too. It kind of reminds me of what Ford did with the Mustang LX 5.0s of the late eighties.

And the fastest NA V8 Camaro in the 1/4 will be the LT1. But unlike the LX the LT1 will be a fun ride on an occasional track day. It doesn't need MRC. I have had it in 2 Camaros and its no big deal. But I would hope for NPP. Another pic. So clean looking.

Agreed, but easy to fix. Lightly used SS tires are almost free.

new LT1 Pic:
The competition: I like the look of Mustangs usually a little better than the Camaro. But liking the LT1 better. The Mustang is just too busy and droopy looking.

That is one of the few times where I would have to say the Camaro is substantially better looking. Maybe it's jsut a bad picture of the Mustang lol, but in those two the Camaro looks better

Keep in mind, that while mostly the same, you did post the picture of an EcoBoost Mustang, not a GT. |

The LT1 is Chevy's version of a Pontiac Firebird Formula 350! I had two gens of theses. Fun for someone young with a little less cash.

That said, the LT1 does look pretty good in that pic.

Do they! They scream "cheap", as if to "punish" the buyer for not going upmarket. The base 5 spokes on the '16-'18 LT Camaros look bloody wonderful by comparison. The base GT looks comically under tired/wheeled to my eyes. Also, I'm not sure the base GT brakes are up to the task either, though I thought I've read somewhere they may actually be Brembos but are just plain metal finish in deference to costs ( or "punishment" ). |
