I'm not sure that that's accurate. Maybe it is, because the best times on this forum are from the A8 guys, but Chevrolet reports 5.4s for the stick and 5.5s for the auto.

I hear ya. The factory floor calibrations are virtually identical.

It took longer than I figured to find any article that went beyond very superficial differences but this is a good read. Skip the top part.

-> Trust me there is a world of difference in "new school" auto tech. <-

Of course we're not talking about the fact that M6 has LSD and A8 does not. This morning I had squeal going well into the mid rpms off the green light on my nifty fifty almost 10 inch nittos but that joy lasts for about 2.5 seconds.

Just food for thought-

"The 10A is in the engine's sweet spot more consistently while accelerating."

Verde V99 Axis

The front: 19x8.5/245 +30 offset

Rear: 19x9.5/275 +36 offset

The tires are some Lionhart LH 5 which i plan on replacing when I do my brakes soon

She absolutely loved the 48-degree air temp this morning on the way to work...
It could have even been better. Had absolutely zero wheel slip and I shifted a little late (almost right at redline) out of first. Would have liked to shift a bit earlier. But I'll take it.

Honestly, I think a proper tune would take me to a new level. I've put a lot of effort into increasing air flow and practicing my launching. Wider wheels/tires in back, dropping some weight, and a real tune could very well get me to that 4.5s mark.

Hitting those 4.8s on the regular now. Pretty excited about that.

Tires are gripping with this air. But density is up and wind resistance penalty hits in the 1/4 mile. Its the sweet spot for 0-60 right now.

39 degrees in the hills of Western New York. Man does she love the cold air. I think this was just about all I’m going to get out of her as she stands. Was the perfect hookup and shift into second.

I just took advantage of any flat road stoplight with enough room for a pull.

Yup. typical NE windy roads here locally, and lots of patrols in this port city. ... country cops everywhere else nearby. ( it's all for our own good...... sarcasm.)

here's an honest question. Should have a grip on my tuning mojo by spring, Maybe a combo of blizzaks and skinny's by next track season. hmmm.
