Weird Transmission kick

Hi guys, a few weeks ago I got my car tuned on E85, literally as I left the shop and hopped on the freeway I felt an unusual kick every time I stepped on the gas pedal and took my foot off the pedal. Its been there since then and happens almost every time I step on or let off the gas the only time I don’t feel it is when I’m at high way speed over 60mph
It’s under the car I’m not a mechanic or expert but I would say it feels like the converter.
My car is a 2017 SS A8 the tcm hasn’t been unlocked which makes me think him changing anything in the trans is impossible.
All tuning done thru HP tuners
If anyone can chime in that would be great thanks

This started happening immediately after you left the tuning shop and you didn't go back to them for a remedy? Definitely looks like an issue with the tune and it won't fix itself. There are many tables and parameters (driver demand, torque model, torque management...) that will impact drivability without touching the TCM tune.

I have a 2017 A8 my TCM is locked which makes me think he couldn’t have touched the trans however if you know of something he could’ve done with the TCM still locked I’d like to hear it

I know my TCM is locked which gives him very little access to anything trans related, I just don’t want to sound like a dumb a** lol but immediately after leaving and hopping on high way I felt a kick every time I get on or let off the gas

The TCM uses input from the PCM to determine shift points and shift firmness. You can affect shift quality without ever touching the TCM.
