Wen't to the auto parts store today.
Valvoline 75W90 work the same as a non Valvoline? Dude at the counter said no need for an additive. This ok for the transmission as well.?

UPDATE
Anyone know if the drain plug of the transmission actually needs this metal ring? I forgot to put it back in but I haven't noticed any leaks....

I believe that metal gasket is there to help prevent the plug from seizing, and to allow the gasket to crush a little when tightening to not damage the trans case.
If you don't find any leaks, I would leave it be, but keep an eye on it and put it back on when you do the next change. Glad to see you were able to tackle the job! Congrats
