Can I restore NPP exhaust functionality with a tune?

Just stick something in the tailpipe and see if it even quiets down closing off the valve side of the muffler like you want at idle. If it does, get the 3 way controller.

There is nothing you can change in the tune to adjust the NPP. Sounds like you just weren't aware that the NPP is open during idle.

Getting the forza 3-way controller, wiring in your own switch, or physically wiring the valves closed, are the only ways to close the valves at start-up and idle.

Alright everyone, update:

I tried this. I wired in a 3-way switch according to this diagram: BL/YL wire split, side going to rear fuse box to middle post on switch, side going to ECU (I assume) to the top post, ground from the nearby ground bolt to the bottom post. Start the car, let it idle for a minute, press the switch both ways, and nothing. No change in sound. I looked down the tailpipe and the flaps weren't moving. Checked all of my connections, used a multimeter to verify the functionality of the switch, everything looks good. But still no dice.

I did find this though. The wire bundle to the left goes next to the rear fuse box, and that bolt is the ground bolt I used when testing the switch. It appears to be a connector to something that's unplugged. It doesn't quite reach what looks like a plug above it. Anybody know what it is or where it goes?
