Had it resulted from modifications, etc okay but not easy routine commuting. Anyway should it ever happen again I know a little bit more and I hope this makes some others aware of the potential for a similar failure, easier self-diagnosis, and self-repair.
I have a feeling my result will be similar, but I think mine may be the main radiator due to it being right in the middle. My coolant is coming out in spurts/mist from the center front inside the engine bay, but it's a little intermittent, maybe due to pressure or a pump turning on and off?

Dropped it off last night, should hear something today by noonish. Will update.

That sucks. Not my radiator but still something that kept me from running at VIR. I was registered for the Audi Club of North America's Fall Finale at VIR Nov 3 & 4 and on way home Friday night 11-2-18 after registration and Tech inspection found this when I got out of car. Could not find another tire so missed the event. At least you had another car to drive.

Do you think a screen mesh in-front the aux radiators worth the effort or just leave as is?

Just got word from the dealership. Rock busted my radiator. $1600 to replace.

I'm thinking that mesh might be worth it.

Ugh, this really sucks.

Holly shikes.. $1600 installed at delearship? I would look at Rock Auto for aftermarket. Hopefully the part number is listed on the qoute.

If you don't mind if you have it specify part number to document for the forum

Looks like Mishimoto Automotive has the aux radiators for $450.00

Plus a DYI video. Hopefully this can help in the pain

Awesome investment once warranty is done.

I wonder if this becomes a common issue, rocks puncturing one of the radiators, window screen material might be used to prevent rock contact.

Ouch, $1600 seems a bit steep. I saw the invoice for mine and although they are submitting it under warranty they listed the labor at roughly $240, the auxillary radiator at $250, and the super rip off of coolant for $40. Was thinking the same about the wire mesh screen as a buffer and going to look in to fabricating something when I have some time. Also I found the auxiliary radiators for $121 at GM parts store.

I’ve had a slight drop in the both reservoirs, should I be concerned?

What is the time span? How long did it take to drop and how much did it drop?

It dropped about half in the main reservoir and the reserve was almost empty. So I filled up both, the reserve to the line limit, now the reserve reservoir is half under the limit line in about 3 months and the top reservoir remained full?

You probably had air in the system when the top tank was half full. Over time the air probably worked its way out and that's why you now have these levels. I would fill the bottom tank to the fill line, which is about half way, and monitor from here on out.
