I had my Camaro done, I plan on trying out the Adam's ceramic kit on the wifes Audi SQ5 this spring. I just had my uncle 2016 Audi S5 done, it was 500 to have it fully polished and ceramic coating, the detailer used the G-teknic stuff.

Detailers around here tend to look at Gtechniq as a pro level product. It's either that or Ceramic pro I believe....the guy that did mine had both on his company van half the van done with each, and is testing to see which lasts longer.

many coatings are avail in consumer and pro versions....pro being a bit more stout but harder to put on. cquartz, gtechnik and optimum are just a few that come both ways. Pro not avail to conumers unlessyou havesome in to get it.

Exactly, however my point was you don't hear of pro detailers using Adams....at least around here
I can't believe how easy it is these days.....I used to spend all day with an random orbital and several rounds of polishes and finally a wax that only lasted 6 months....now it's easy peasy and lasts years. With the ceramic, I can run the car through a touchless and hit it with a cordless blower and done. Next project is to get these nasty SS Brembo brake pads changed out for something that doesn't turn the wheels black in 100 miles. I ceramic coated the wheels, but I don't know if it's gonna be enough for this dust. |

I wouldn't be surprised if this stuff is like gasoline, it all comes from the same place with customized additives.
There's no way every little company that sells detailing supplies manufactures their own products. |

Brake feel changes a bit from the brembos, the bite is not as quick, and they do squeak when wet and braking for the first couple times. It's well worth the trade off of not having to buy special wheel cleaner and having dirty wheels within a day of washing the car. I consider my car dirty when it has a layer of dust. So I'm a bit anal about how clean my car is. I do need to ceramic coat my car still though. Hopefully after winter I'll finally bite the bullet and buy a ceramic coating. I polish and clay my car once a year, so I'll probably do that this Spring.

Cool, I've got the Powerstop carbon ceramic Z26 pads on the short list. Put those on the Hellcat (which had the same nasty brake dust problem) and the car actually stopped better 60-0 with the Z26 pads. I tested it LOL.

Nice! That's good! That's what I went with and I love them. Now I just need to hit up a guy I know to see if he will let me wash my car in his garage this winter. He offered a couple years ago, I need to take him up on his offer. Winters here are the pits!

Question for the pros in here. Been thinking about using Meguiar'sŪ Hybrid Ceramic Wax, on my Boss, Ram, and the Wife's new Sienna. I'm a bit hesitant on the Boss because of the decal striping? I would guess Camaro striping would be similar.

Tape off the stripes first with automotive painters tape.
