The same as what’s in the pic in this thread, but I notice it’s only rated for 10amps
But the standard fuse for
Npp is 15 amps,
Will this cause problems?

I used a 10 amp one from Amazon and it works fine. I opened it up and resoldered it so it was normally closed. Synced it to my homelink buttons and it's been working for months. Was able to hide it under the fuse box

Can you explain what you re-solder to make the switch be normally closed?

The big red circle highlights a yellow fuse adapter. The top fuse provides power to the remote control gizmo. The bottom fuse completes the original circuit. Nothing out of sorts there.

The + and - on the fuse contacts represent the hot side and the cold side of the fuse contacts in the fuse block. If you remove the fuse and then use a voltmeter and measure the voltage from the hot side to vehicle ground, you should get nominal +12v. If you measure the cold side to vehicle ground you get 0 v. If the fuse position is switched to the ignition, you will need to turn on the ignition to get those readings. If the fuse position is not switched, then you should get those readings at all times.

When you are using a fuse tap to add an additional circuit, the bottom fuse location in the fuse tap is for the original circuit. The top fuse is for your additional circuit. In this situation, it is important to orient the fuse tap correctly ... otherwise, your additional circuit will not be fuse-protected. Your original circuit will not be affected, but the add-on circuit will be.

The term, polarity, may be somewhat confusing, but this is what is meant with respect to using a fuse tap. The fuse itself does not have polarity. Only the contacts in the fuse box.

Here is my 'fuse tap for dummies (like me)' mock-up version. Actually, with the fuse tap inserted the wrong way, the additional circuit will still be protected, but will load the original fuse along with the original car component that the fuse was for, so it's more prone to overload and being blown.

Looking at the circuit, it appears as though a modulated signal from the chassis control module closes the NPP valves rather than just a 12v or ground being switched..........

Great question. I’d love to start in stealth mode whenever the kids are sleeping. A switch would work perfectly.

I put the exhaust in stealth when I pull into my neighborhood every evening.

So for those that chose to wire it to a in-cabin switch, where'd you run the wires and mount the switch?

I'm going this path... but before I go figure out from scratch, wanna learn from others that already been there.
