CamaroFest Camarovan Florida thread who is planning to go.

I just booked my room @ the Mattiott Courtyard.

My plan is to leave early am 7/11 (Wednesday) arrive into GB around 2-3pm it’s a 11.5 hour drive from Orlando.

Post up if you are going, hotel staying, and day leaving.

I'll be leaving Jacksonville on Tuesday 7/10 going to Chattanooga and heading on to BG on the 11th. Staying at the Hilton Garden this year. See ya there.

This thread doesn't pop up on camaro5, I'm trailering mine from the Orlandoish area. Planning on leaving the 10th and spending the night being drunk somewhere in Tennessee and then head to the airbnb in BG the 11th or 12th.

Our final travel plans.

Orlando Camarovan:

5 Vehicles

-2002 Berger GMMG Hot Rod Z/28
-2010 IOM SS Coupe
-2013 Dusk Edition 2SS
-2017 Camaro 2SS HBM Convertible
-2017 Camaro ZL1 Red Hot Coupe

We are finalizing our plans for the Fest

Departure Date: 7/12/18

Departure Time: 1AM
Leaving from Turnpike/429 area (3 of us are in this area) 1 is meeting us at that time, we will pick up the 5th in Ocala @ between 1:45-2am.

The planned route is as follows.

I-75 up to Macon (5 hours) stop @ Cracker Barrel for Breakfast and a fuel stop this will put us in Macon @ either 6am ish (depending on the time we leave)

Continue on I-75 to the Atlanta Bypass to beat most of the morning traffic around 8:30am and continue on I-75 north then take I-24 (Resca area) towards Chattanooga, TN, we will continue on towards Nashville, TN and stop for a break (Food, gas, stretching legs).

The final stretch will take I-65 north to Bowling Green, KY get off 231 and hit the hotel.

Wish I could we had planned to leave Wednesday but 2 of the guys could not get out of work we are trying to leave around 9pm on 11th just waiting for the one guy to find out when time he can get out of work on Wednesday.

Sounds good you have my number keep me posted . Im laying over in Tn the night of the 11th with Big Jon so Ill at worst we’ll all meet you with you on the 12th along the way .
The zello walkie talkie group ( camarofest chatter ) app goes live tomorrow morning .

I love the app , its like having a walkie talkie/CB and so much safer than trying to text and drive and also safer than trying to dial a cell phone . Reminds me of the old nextels..
