Black Bowtie installation?

Has anyone have luck with installing the black bowties on their own? So far I've only seen the glow ties

done today - a few observations:
1. directions want you taking off the front end to get to the back of the grille. you don't need to...a plastic trim tool or protected screwdriver with painters tape , pry gently one end and it pops off EASY....
2. rear is a cakewalk - de-badge old, and stick new one on...but the rear adhesive is tedious to remove with your fingernails!

Anyway you could post a video on how you removed them? I tried that way and didn't even budge.

Where exactly are you prying Glen? Just got my bowties today and seems like you really would need to be behind the bumper...

Ended up doing this without taking bumper off. Unbolted the plate around the hood latch and tilted it down-gives you good screwdriver access to the clips on the bowtie. A second set of hands is recommended. :P

I just swapped my Bowties and RS badges with thees I got from River City Creations.

Like Glen said the front Bowtie pops off very easy with a firm but gentle pry. The rear badge is just stuck on with 3M tape, I used a hair dryer to heat up the badge and it easily pulled off using the same plastic trim tool or protected screwdriver you used to pry off the front Bowtie. A little goo-b-gone to get rid of any left over 3M tape, clean with 50/50 alcohol water mix, and press the new one on.

I will post pic's of the mod's this weekend once I get a chance to wash and detail it again, the weather here is crap right now.

Nice those will be slick, Lupe's products are top notch as you already know. I just wish it wasn't 20 degrees and snowing here, my baby looks a mess right now

Thank you, yeah been modding and detailing for years. I like to post stuff that amazed me when it was shown to me or I discovered it. 40 years in the car biz, both as a dealer owner and on the mfr side. I own my own forum website for marine outboards. Www.veradoclub.com.

One thing i hate is posts that forget the links and pics...youll always get from me where to get the stuff and how to do it, in addition to the finished pic.
