Tire Shaving?

Running on the Bondurant Racing School track last weekend I bent a rim and destroyed the mounted tire. I have three tires with one wet track day and one and a half dry trackdays. I have a new rim and tire on order.

Will I need to have the new tire shaved to match diameter/tread depth of the three older tires?

The tires are Bridgestone RE71R Potenza, 305/30/19s - Square-ish.

Google search shows that Tire Discounters and other shops offer tire shaving.

Thoughts?

Put it on the outside where it will get the most wear and run it in that spot till it evens out. Preferably the front outside, but I still wouldn't worry about it even if it's on the rear.

So I know on the 1LEs and ZL1s with the eDiff it is highly advised to replace both rears if you have to replace one. So if it's a rear I would switch it to a front (the new one that is), if it's a front you should be okay, unless your current set are worn way down.

These are front tires. The setup is staggered so there's no front to back switching possibilities.

I just measured the tread depth difference between the new tire and the damaged tire. the difference is 0.026 inches. I'm going to let this one go as is, should be fine.
