How are you lifting your ZL1
I am amazed on how low the ZL1 is. For many years I have used Rhino ramps to do my service work either rolling up in the front on backing up in the rear. Even on my older ZR-1 this was never a problem. Not so with the Camaro.
The front spoiler would be destroyed long before the tire would start up the ramp. I been pulling onto a 2x12 just to be able to get my 4 ton service jack saddle under a lift point. Well, no more, I am looking to purchase a Bendpak MDS-6LP mid rise lift for my garage. Since I have the ZL1Add on blocks already installed all I would need to do is pull on and up we go. I was going to purchase the Ranger QuickJacks that you slide under each side but after actually seeing them in person I thought they were a little scary plus they become a storage issue. I thought I would post to see if anyone has any experience with Bendpak or this specific lift. Also is Bendpak worth the premium price they charge, all comments welcome. Thanks |

Low profile jack should work.

i'll be honest, i've got a quickjack and love it. storage wise, i just leave it under the car, hasn't caused me a problem. and if you step up to the 5000 or 7000 i promise they aren't scary at all. quite stout.

I still use ramps but use a couple of 2" X 12" X 18"L boards, I set them in front of the tires and drive the car onto the lumber first, the 2" X 12"'s raise the front enough for the splitter to clear. This is with Rhino ramps YMMV.

Block of 2x4 and floor jack.
Not as easy as quickjack, but stuff I already owned. 2x4 will be replaced w molded puck device soon.

This is a bit much for me, but I do plan on getting a QuickJack soon. Easier, smaller, more mobile, and WAY cheaper.
