Well after 11 months of no track time made it out to Auto Club Speedway Roval. Covid 19 delays and my own schedule. It was a very hot day 106 degree day in the shade. Everyone best PB/ avg times were about 3 seconds off. I had to back down overall speed on turns 1 and 2 high bank. Felt the car slip up track before corner exit. Not worth the risk.
The cars that had good downforce and equal horsepower was still able to stick mid corner such as the ZL1 1LE guys. Still they suffered from the heat.
Overall stayed hydrated and had fun.

Runs were ok at around 2mins01sec mark never cracked below 2mins mark. Car is good breaking below that on normal day.

Hi Wontspeak, We briefly spoke just as you sat down to eat, I have the silver Gen5 SS 1LE. Coming out of turn 6 with the setting sun is bad, haha, too bad someone didn't plant a few oaks on the hillside 200 years ago.

*laughs* Trees would be nice, but to make it perfect, I would change the latitudes and longitudes. The 9hr round trip does have its rewards, and is worth every mile and *penny, *except for the tolls *laughs* but holds me to about one visit a season. Thanks for saying hello.

We will have to talk more next time. Sounds like you are living the dream, hitting all the tracks within reasonable distance.

A few from Pitt Race this past weekend. Really fun track although the chicanes got a little tiring after a while whipping back and forth. Finally got lined up near the C8 and got some good photos before i went off trying to stay glued to him, hoping for a pointby that never came... he came outta the hole really fast, that's for sure.

It’s a long haul from Texas to Alabama but the weather held up and it was definitely worth the drive. Needed to replace tires and brakes after this weekend so NOLA will have brand new everything in a couple weeks

he would NOT give me a point by... he was fast but I caught him in most of the braking zones, evenish through the turns (despite my tires being corded for the past 3 sessions) and then he’d pull on me.... I’d brake later and catch him again ... repeat. He was fast enough that I wasn’t truly annoyed (McLaren mp412c was super duper slow and no point bys... that was frustrating).
