GET AFTERMARKET EXHAUST!!!

LOL - let me explain -

A few weeks ago, I installed the Hurst axle back (retains dual mode option) on the 1LE. I have only been driving that camaro and my daily driver (Infiniti QX50) since. Yesterday, I took the 2016 2SS out for a spin. I could not believe how quiet and boring it sounded!! The Hurst system isn't even loud, compared to other setups I've heard or personally run on various cars, but the difference is amazing. The 1LE actually sounds like a muscle car, whereas the 2SS sounds like a Camry by comparison.

If you're gonna drive this awesome car, you must unleash the sound!

Yes, I can't wait to remove the ginormous stock muffler at the back of the car taking away the sound. My V6 has no sound, no bark at all. Can't wait to get the Flowmaster Axle back for my car to unleash some of the sound! I wanted the NPP exhaust but opted for the real cool Adventus wheel my car came with, figuring I would get upgrade the exhaust some point in the future.

Don't know what the car is even offered with such quiet exhaust- they all should come with good throaty sound stock. It's a performance car and should sound like one.

When I was doing my LT4 fuel upgrades I had to drop the stock exhaust, driveshaft, etc to get the tank out. If you think that stock exhaust looks sexy on the car. You should see that beast laying on the ground next to the car. It's HUGE, heavy and looks like it belongs on a Greyhound bus. lol. It really sucked having to put it back on but LT, full catback is on my list of mods to do one day.

I totally agree. Some people like it, but the stock suitcase muffler is way too restrictive. They made it sound really nice on startup so the dealerships could sell them more but after the cold start it quiets down too much

NPP is loud enough for me. About the only thing I miss is the drone when cruising on the highway with the valves closed. And I can pull the fuse for that.

I dunno. I get a nice cruising drone with the NPP in track mode.

Neighbors already hate my car, even when starting in stealth mode. My bet is that every aftermarket system will piss them off even more. Not for me, even for the slightest performance gain. And my neighbors and I really hang out and get along quite well, it's just that the one couple has a newborn that hates sleep and his room is across from my garage. Good news is that another baby is on the way this year! LOL

If your neighbors have a problem with stealth mode then the problem is your neighbors, not the car! lol Tell em to get some soundproof foam.

I'm usually in sport mode. Will try track mode and see if I get that nice drone.

I have no desire to be like some of the other cars / trucks where even slight throttle wreaks havoc on people's ears. If people want to listen to the sound of NHRA top fuel, then they know where to go, no reason to put normal average quiet living folks through hell just so I can grab some attention.

The NPP is quite sufficient when you get on it.

just my 2 cents...i know it won't be a popular opinion round these parts...

LOL. I seriously have true respect for them, and this car has woken the baby, and I feel bad for it. Might have to go Vette next since it is quieter.

You guys saying the NPP is loud enough are completely missing my point here...you THINK it's loud enough, but then you get a new exhaust and you realize how quiet it truly was. Maybe you can't understand until you make the switch.

YAWN!!!!

I have absolutly no desire to change out the NPP exhaust. Personally, I'm very happy with both the tone, and the preformance. So, why spend extra $$ to delete an already expensive option???

Just seems outright foolish to me, but each to his own!!!

Respects,
Richard
