I also purchased the ebay generic brand for my 2017 RS and like it, my car has the OEM tow hook adapter that comes in the trunk so I don't need the whole kit just the plate holder.

The dealer did not drill any holes in my front. They just put the bracket in the trunk.

Speaking to them, it was like an unwritten rule about not mounting a front license plate.

I don't understand this tow thing (is that actually usable?) and don't like the idea of taking part of my grill out.

I'm just a few days into owning this, and I have the temporary on the window, which is good for 90 days.

The sto-n-go is more appealing to me, especially if the intent is simply to have that in the trunk at all times, only to be produced when in the presence of an officer. Am I wrong?

Same here, the sales guy was borderline offended when I asked him not to install the front plate, he said the holder would be in the trunk and they'd never damage a new Camaro with that

Bought the sto'n'sho since then, and am absolutely satisfied with it, very sturdy and ridiculously easy to remove/reinstall. Oh, and it has taken quite a few hits for the grille and the radiator, bugs and rocks both

What's everyone paying for the Plate holders, maybe we can get a group buy together for those of us who haven't bought one yet. I'm seeing tow hook holders for around 50 dollars and the STO-N-SHO for about 84, both with free shipping. I'm not a fan of front license plates, but I'm thinking one ticket may be close to the cost of a plate holder anyway. Better to at least have it in the trunk and have something to show for your money, as others have posted, it may save the ticket as well if you're ever pulled over.

Newbi here but rec my 2017 ZL1 from Texas which did have the front mount and yes you do loose additional ground clearance so I took my off after several pavement scrapes. However, have to admit it was a nice piece and workmanship was good.
