Got Snow Tires Installed On My Car Today

I called tirerack.com last Monday and ordered 18" Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 XL snow tires, size 245/50/R18 to go along with 18" Sport Edition Bright Silver Rims. They arrived Wednesday. Could not believe how quickly they got here. I got them installed today at my dealership. They look real nice. Wish I didn't have to swap out the 20" tires and waited a little longer, because up here in Cleveland it is still 45 degrees outside today and no snow in sight. BUT, better safe than sorry. We always get hit with snow. So, I'm sure its coming. It's just a different look to the car with 18" snow tires versus the 20" all weathers on the car.

I will just have to get used to the look of a smaller tire on my hyper blue.

But, on the bright side it is only 3 more months till spring, at least in Cleveland, anyway. So, come April 1st the 20s ARE going back ON!!!!

Nice! Can you give a review of the handling difference between them? I'll be doing the same thing when I get my SS.

Are you on the east or west side? I'm in North Olmsted so I'm safely away from the snowbelt lol!

They look good Zack! Looks like there is plenty of clearance from the calipers.

I couldn't bring myself to put 18's on my SS for winter. I know I probably should have, but in reality, I have a Jeep for when things get ugly.
I stuck with stock gen5 five spoke black 20". they still look good and I don't have to stare at "Not my cool wheels and tires" for 4 or 5 months.
Put on Michelin X-Ice in 275/45/20's all around.

Check with Tire Rack. They may not fit over the Brembos.

At least, that is the case on my Camaro 5.
