I would keep the aero bits but pull the engine and pop in a sweet 7.0L

I guess that is what I'm saying. It should not be a different car altogether or marketed/priced as such. It should just be options. Sort of like the Z07 package on the Z06.
Similar idea to the Z06W/ Z07 package but much more extreme. The Z06 stage 1 with MPSC2 tires would most likely be within a second time wise on the majority of tracks, and on a strip its actually faster. Here the 1LE has more changes, specifically the additional downforce and the shocks are a much larger difference. The tires make a difference for sure, but my guess is not nearly as much as the aero and revised suspension.

I'm not so sure...more extreme..maybe. Z06 Z07 package has more AERO, via the front splitter and canards/winglets..whatever you call them and the spoiler, the tires and not to be over looked...Carbon Ceramic Brakes which this ZL1 1LE is missing. The Z06 can still also be purchased in the Auto.

I know people are gonna try and say the M6 was faster around the track than the A10 n the motor trend test....that was with 1 driver...1 time. And he is a PROFESSIONAL driver with great skill working that M6 and Heel toe downshifting etc.... Average user Auto will be faster even the user with driving experience.

Side note do you have to heel toe downshift with active rev matching or is that the point of it? I think maybe it is.

Get the 2018 ZL1 and fix the stance and wheels with that off the ZL1LE.

The only people excited about the ZL1 1LE are the people in this forum. Dealers are going to have a tough time selling them. A couple of dealers already say the 2017 ZL1 is hard to sell (like all the rest). Hell people think I got my 2013 ZL1 painted blue....SMH! The Z28s were extremely hard to sell. I'm happy with the regular ZL1. The 1LE in my opinion will be for a select few like OP who want bragging rights. To each their own though.

I'm talking about the rear spoiler and replacing it with a stock ZL1 spoiler and the extra front aero being replaced with stock ZL1 parts.

This will protect them from any potential damage from road debris and from some idiot trying to steal the rear spoiler which I know would happen. Since I wouldn't be tracking the car the extra aero bits aren't that crucial and would be stored away to keep them in good condition.

Anyone else plan on removing some of the aero from the car?
This is a troll...

We did Chris Ryans car a few weeks ago.. I think he's getting 19s this week.
So other than coil overs and some harder bushings maybe sway bars he will be close. Id like to see how close a 1le w aero kit does on Nurburgring to the 1le.

If we're discussing the street, an M6 "regular" ZL1 will perform just as well as the ZL1 1LE...so I guess I just don't understand the motivation.
I actually get it. Look at all the people who want the 1LE tires and wheels. Look how many want the DSSV suspension (which is $5.5k), which is needed for the wider better handling tires then the standard ZL1.
Look how many are spending money on the dark taillights...on and on.

I would say without aero on the 1LE it will still take curves better then the standard ZL1.

He can save the high wing from thieves and such and always have it when needed.

Like you said, to each his own.

I have felt what the aero does on track, and so I’ll never even think about removing it for that reason (plus it looks badass )

I think it looks bad ass too. If I didn't already have a regular ZL1 I would get the 1LE. I would not remove anything either. But it does attract thieves. My ZL1 does not go out in the rain, sleet or dark of night. Basically, opposite of the mailman.

After having my 4x4 stolen when I was on a date and left me stranded in the middle of nowhere in Houston, I don't bring any christmas presents to thieves.....

Mine doesn’t go in the rain because of the tires. I love driving at night in it. And it gets heavy abuse on track from debris, so no risk of winning any car shows here!!

Ok, night time addendum. Let's say, I don't park it anywhere at night. I go for a drive and then go back home at night.
