I know this will be hard to come by but figured I'd put a feeler out there. I have a Red Hot '17 SS 1LE but would like the added downforce of the wing for track days. Hoping someone out there doesn't like the wing on their ZL1 1LE and would be interested in doing a trunk swap. Reason being is (from what I've been told), the trunk on the ZL1 1LE is reenforced for the added downforce or else I'd just buy the wing. Located in Charlotte, NC

There was a thread around here someplace where C7 or JW states that both trunks are physically identical.

However, with our SS 1LE high kick spoiler, the bolt holes are not the same as the SS/zl1/ZL1 1LE bolt holes. With your current trunk youd have to drill new holes.

Best bet would be to try to trade trunks with an SS since their spoiler shares the same bolt holes as the ZL1 Wings, and add the wing. That's my plan anyhow.

Gotcha. Title (and avatar) looks as if you have an SS 1LE.

If you have an SS (Non 1LE), the wing will bolt right up, i'm not convinced the ZL1 has reinforcement according to some threads i have seen. Same part number, and the underside looks identical. The SS1LE trunk will have different bolt holes.

I have an SS 1LE, my rear lip spoiler is currently off of my car. Had a crack in it so Chevy is replacing it and I can see numerous bolt holes across the trunk so I figured it wouldn't be as easy as a spoiler swap.

The trunks on all 2018 were reinforced from factory, not just the ZL1 1LE. I tried swaping trunks with someone wit ha regular SS in Hyper Blue. No one wanted to do it.
