Matt said it was hitting 12 Psi.
Nice.
Are you planning to swap the cam and blower, or are you staying with the LT4 blower? AT 12PSI, that's pretty stout. I didn't know the LT4 blower would even go that high.

Scott is running even more boost than that but his IAT's are through the roof so it pulls timing like crazy up top - He's going to ProCharger.

My Whipple is on order... Plan was to do cam first but couldn't pass up a deal on the Whipple so may end up installing that next and doing cam later.

Who is Scott?

With the Whipple, you probably won't gain anything until you add the cam, but then again, it will definitely run cooler than the LT4 since it won't have to work as hard...

Honestly, I was kind of hoping you were sticking with the LT4 so that you would be easy to beat. With the Whipple, TRUST ME, YOU DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT TO INSTALL THE CAM UNTIL AFTER WE GET TO THE TRACK!

Scott is KtTx... on here or something like that..

The whipple alone should add gobs of torque down low and some up top but I might still be pulling timing due to iat’s.. we’ll see. I’ll most likely be adding meth with the whipple too so that should take care of iat’s.

Also have the weapon x heat exchangers and cordes header tank to go on. That might have to be enough for the next go round and maybe wait a while before I do cam... will have to see how addictive it gets

I believe my goodies are set to arrive on Monday or Tuesday!
This installation will include:
1. JRE rough idle cam
2. Kooks LT headers - race pipes (have cats also)
3. JRE forged pistons
4. Fuel system (in-tank pump, HPFP, fuel injectors, e85 fuel sensor and BAP)
5. Gauges
6. LS3 front crank seal
7. catch can

I also have the pro-version of HP tuners and will be working with Ted on a remote tune. . .

We are pulling the motor and as of right now, we think we can get everything installed on a Friday-Sunday...but it always seems that the best laid plans get sidetracked a little bit. Getting so close now...

Wow, dont envy you having to pull the motor and replacing pistons

I was suprised at the lack of odor running full decat.. I was expecting it to be pretty bad but you can't tell at all when driving and it only a mild smell once in a while when sitting at lights.

Good luck!

Yep. I thought the same thing in my Vette. Issue wasn’t the smell, but it was all related to too much noise. So, I have high flow cars too.

Pulling the motor was my buddies choice. He “hates” leaves in a car and doing these changes without pulling the motor can absolutely be done. But when you do things like break the seal on the oil pan, then leaks are gonna happen and he thought it would be much easier to simply pull the motor. The pistons weren’t required, but to me provide a degree of safety up to 800whp pretty easily. So I can feel safe with my setup.

I can’t wait to hear that cam lope...

Going into the stock NPP, its absolutely silent at light throttle cruising, even at 70mph, but hit the loud pedal and all hell comes out of the tail pipe!
