The Demon was a marketing success and one hit wonder, I at all the butt heads that paid $20k-$30k over MSRP for them.

I remember the mid to late 70s when 200 HP was rare and only a few cars and a couple of trucks even were that "powerful." So enjoy the competition between 500, 600 700 and 800 HP cars. Nobody saw this coming. It's American muscle and it's all good!!!

This is just getting beaten to death. The ZR1 on drag tires should be able to beat a Demon if the demon has it's interior and stock computer tune. The power to weight should be close, if not favoring the Vette. By now we're all seeing that the factory Demon drag radials are not up the task of harnessing the power it has. It seems like a lot of the Demon owners are switching their tires out to something a bit more sticky. When prepped for full race duty, though, the Demon should win...though it still won't be by that much. My buddy has both a Demon and a C7R z06, and swears the Demon out-handles the Vette on the street. I told him he's crazy, but he may be right. Those factory race tires on the Vette do nothing but pick up rocks, making it hard to get any traction going around turns. With drag radials on all 4 wheels, the Demon does no suffer from these problems.

Demonology was able to beat a ZR1 in the 1/8 mile both cars are fast the driver is the best mod for a fast car, with more seat time behind the wheel times come down.
