Rear diff going out

Curious if anybody has had the rear differential gone out on the zl1? On my way home last night i noticed a very audible hum coming from the rear at speed, and my only guess is the diff or a gear within is shot. Rear fluids changed at the beginning of the year, maybe 1000 miles since then.. Can’t get it to Chevy before next week so just looking for ideas to throw at them to get work done faster and hopefully have it before the 25th for the next event

I have a Manual. My diff went bad. Started with a whine, then excessive slop then diff fluid leaked. The Diff was not repairable, sourced a used diff instead of new since I am out of warranty,

Yeah, this seems to be a fairly common thing in C7s too.

Good to know my thoughts seem close. It should still be under power train, I have a service contract as well so it’ll be dropped off next week for sure
