I agree. There are good cases and bad cases with any business.

I just know numerous people who have been screwed over by them or attempted to have one over on them. Timbo went through the same paces they put me through.

Those that have good dealings with them I'm happy for you but I will not recommend them to anyone.

fwiw - I dont steer anyone their way either. My direct experience is they markup ridiculous stuff like nitrogen just to discount to retail pricing. And there was your experience. That was messed up.

Thank goodness for the internet.

Hey Chris. Trinity is out of the hospital. Tucker is going to be there for about three weeks. He's doing fine he just has to be fed through an IV until his bowels start working properly then we get to take him home. He's happy and being well taken care of.

I realized how much $$$ I wanted to put into the car specifically for things that are already available from the factory, and decided to check out whether it made more sense to trade in for a new car that had these features, or spend the money to upgrade mine. (It would've made more sense to do that from the start...but I learned a lot about these cars after I bought mine).

I thought it was a long shot, but it actually worked out in my case - I'm not spending any more out of pocket (for the same loan amount) than the cost of a set of used GM 1LE/ZL1 wheels.

My new Red Rock Metallic 2SS/RS/1LE with recaros/NPP/nav (and NO sunroof) should be here soon!

(I worked out a deal with Jim Ellis Chevy)

Jim Ellis Chevy is the way to go. Really good people. We're buying an Acadia from them soon.

I had thought about trading up for a 1LE when they first came out, but decided that I had enough into the car that I would just hold on to it and "1LE-ify" mine.

Oddly enough, I did it for the wheels, recaros, and to get rid of my sunroof (in my case it ended up being cheaper to trade than upgrade to accomplish these things). It's not hard to beat a 1LE track performance with a good aftermarket suspension. Also, with a 1LE I won't get the same 3.91 gear benefit as I would if installed on a non-1LE - oh well...

Im 6'1 or 2ish, so when i first test drove the car back when they first came out, I decided against the sunroof on the spot. The recaro's would be nice... ill admit. When i said im making mine like a 1le, its pretty much just that. I just ordered the rear shocks off the forum and front struts at work...only difference is ill be running pfadt sway bars instead of 1le.
