Almost took delivery today
So my car came in a week after being built which I was impressed with and I'm at the dealer looking it over and noticed several swirl marks on the front bumper and a small scratch on the trunk.
I'm glad it is sunny out or I would never have noticed it in the shade or on a cloudy day. I've been following the black paint threads closely and didn't notice any defects with the paint which makes me relieved. I'm guessing someone was just careless when they prepped the car. Dealers detail shop is closed today so they will take care of it Monday for me. Perfect weather today too so I'm quite disappointed I can't drive it. I was supposed to have xpel clear bra installed tomorrow too. Oh well.

That looks familiar. As it was probably the "detail" department that did that to begin with are you sure you them screwing with it? Might be better to just pay and have someone with the correct skills correct that. Just my .02

Agree, I would say the dealership did that.

Good point. I already told them if they don't detail it properly I'll just take it someplace else and have them reimburse me. They assured me they will make sure the car looks flawless before I take delivery. We'll see.
I will say the metallic black looks amazing in the sun. Pictures really don't do it any justice. I'm glad it was sunny today. There would be no way to see the marks on a cloudy day.

I should have clarified the dealership is taking it to a detailer. They are not doing it themselves. I have to wait until Monday since they are closed today. I'm almost positive the guys that prep the car caused the scratches. Rest of the paint looks fine.
I'm just annoyed that I have perfect weather this weekend and can't enjoy my car since someone was careless when they prepped it.

This^^^ I detail it myself if it's just superficial swirl marks.
