Well this is a Camaro forum and I am biased towards the Camaro anyway. So although I didn't care for the Z28, I still like it better than the GT350. Plus the Z28 was ended in 2015. Things are a lot different now just a few years later. The GT350 has no excuse at this point. Like I said, regardless of what it was built for, the fact that the competition is doing what the GT350R was built for better and everything the GT350R wasn't built for on top of that all for a lower price and with way more options is inexcusable. Ford is a bit behind.

The Gen 6 has been out '16, '17, '18. The Mustang beat it by ".2" in '18 by your accounts, So looks like 2 years, not 4. Easy math.

Was that same day same track? Or does that count only when the Mustang loses? Just curious...

And yet, in a head to head, the GT350 was still the more desirable and satisfying car vs the ZL1. And has had zero issues selling. Seems Ford did something right, they just haven't bothered fixing what isn't broke.

There not fixing the GT350, just replacing the engines...

Sorry, had to go there. I'll go sit in the corner now...

I don't know, good question. You should ask kttxz06 since he made that comment. I just fixed his timeline. I see them as being about equal, with the edge going to the Mustang.

Your right in one point Ford is a bit behind, in that it doesn't have a GT500 answer to the ZL1 presently, they are more than a bit behind. The GT350 was an answer to a N/A Z28, which Chevy nixed deciding to go the ZL1 route instead, much to the dismay of many Chevy fans.

The Voodoo is speacial and a rare engine, so many want to be a part of it, thus picking it over the ZL1. But being a rare engine, the reliability is in question, and in a few years could bring a bad name to it once these engines get past warranty time. People seem to be find having there engine replaced, but how are they going to feel once they have to pay for it. time will tell how this engine goes down in history.

The LS7 had very similar problems with oil consumption issues and dropped valves, but the problems get overlooked. I'm sure the Voodoo will continue to be revered.

Come on now, the LS7 wasn’t blowing motors even close to the rate the Voodoo is, especially many Voodoos are well under 5000 miles. Not even close to being similar.

And what rate is that exactly?

The pot calling the kettle black. I love it. The fact that you're trying to brush off any issues the LS7 suffered through shows your blind fanboy bias.

How many ls7 have been built compared to the Voodoo? How many miles are on the ls7 that have had issues compared to the miles on the Voodoo? When you find the answer, you will see there not similar at all.
