Agreed, it is just not common to see these kinds of increases. I experienced the same with our Tesla. I bought it when they were quite a bit less and still had the tax credit. The Model 3 we bought was $36k after credits. The least expensive new Model 3 is around $47k now. After three years the Tesla is still worth about as much, maybe a little more than we paid for it.

But with current gas prices and a tank costing 100 bucks just to drive the car for 1 day a week and basically pissing away 400 bucks a month on gas to drive the car 4 times is actually really irresponsible financially and has nothing to do with affording it. Now dont get me wrong Im right there with fascial irresponsibility LOL I bought one too.
400 a month for 1 day a week of driving? Lmfao!!! Where the **** you driving to????

Only options I added was the nav, carbon fiber instrument panel, and A10. No sunroof, no PDR. Don't want/need those things anyway.

And no I didn't lol, just built it on the website and showed her.

If the increase is too much for you, the ZL1 was not the right car for you. Be thankful it prevented you from buying too much car.

If memory serves base MSRP pricing for the ZL1 coupe goes like this. Of course you add options and the associated gas guzzler tax on top.

2017-2019 - $61,500 + $995 destination
2020-2021 - $63,000 + $995 destination
2022 - $63,000 + $1,195 destination
2023 - $66,700 + $1,395 destination

What does money and driving ability have to do with each other?

The two have nothing to do with each other, too much car from a financial standpoint.

In today's crazy world it is pretty in line, but if this was still 2019 conditions it would seem a bit much to me.

Everything is up, from used cars to houses.
