How long do the Goodyear F1 last

On my previous post I stated I was gonna get a SS1LE either next year or early 2024 so until then I’m gonna be asking a lot of stupid questions. Anyways I’m wondering how many miles you can get out of the stock Goodyear f1 super car tires becuase I’ve heard they don’t last that long. Are there any good replacements for them that have similar performance that can be daily driven and last a longer time? Preferably I would like if the tires would last me over a year of driving ~12k miles.

I think 12K is about average and a reasonable expectation. Daily driver and street only you should be fine.

Around 12000 miles if you street drive with no track events. Keep the air pressure checked also. It seems though after 12000 miles they are almost drag radials on the rear.

How are the F1 Supercar tires? They're one of the cheaper options in 285/30/20 right now. I understand they're not ideal in the rain?

I’ll be using mine through another season which should put me at about 15k when they get changed. Depending on how hard you push them 12-15k miles is reasonable i think.

False, they handle well in rain, as long as you aren't being stupid about it. And the tire isn't bald.

Unlike other tires like MT/R888R's which you basically do not drive in the rain.

You also do not want to drive them in cold weather environment even cold dry pavement is dangerous if you even remotely look at the gas pedal.

If you want an all year round tire, Probably look into the Continental WS6 extreme contacts. A lot of people rant and rave about those.

But if you want summer performance then the F1's are solid, although there are better more expensive options that you either can or can't drive in rain and usually don't last much past 6000 miles with notable exception to Michelins I believe which have the same durability as the F1's and or same or better performance, but also a higher price tag.

Another option to make those F1's last longer. Buy a new set of wheels, with some All Season tires, and swap them in the winter time like I do. So the only miles I put on the tires is in the summer.

Which figure for me driving to work every day over 3 months is about 3600 miles. The tires should last almost 3 maybe 4 summer seasons depending on how aggressive you are at driving.

To answer your other question: I use Yokohama Advan V105's on the front of my car, with the F1 SC3's on the back. The Advan V105's are not expensive I think I got mine for like $160/ea. And they have a great performance rating. The newer version I think is the V601? or V605 forget which number it is?

Thinking of doing the same since my ZL1 never sees the track. What changes did you notice when you made the switch to the Michelin PS4S?

Tire noise?
Ride quality?
Do they still hook up pretty well during when you put your foot in it?

I got 18K out of mine & switched to BFG Comp 2+ when they went on sale at Costco. I like them but turn in is not as crisp as the original tires. But I needed a tire that also was AS as there is a lot of rain here.

Well, they better be WAY cheaper than PS4S, like less than half the price. I got about 10,000 out of them. They are also super-scary with just a little bit of water. They tram-line bad too. The PS4S is significantly (as in you notice it) better at all of these things and doesn't give up much in traction. The Supercars are good tires, but for a very small improvement in performance you make much bigger sacrifices in these areas compared to PS4S and other tires available. That might have something to do with the "sale price". I've seen the sale price pop up, but based on what people get out of PS4S, I calculated it still wasn't cost-effective for me.

I got 11k as a DD. I bought another set of the OEM tire. I just liked how they handled and didn't want to waste money on something else. I only put about 4k miles per year on the car, so it wasn't a big deal.
