Apparently I lied to you.....on this car the RCDLR communicates with the BCM via dedicated communication line. It isn't on the low speed network like most every other model we have is. However your radio/hvac controls I assume are part of your aftermarket radio. I'd still eliminate this as a possibility.

Mine is completely stock and still happens occasionally. Seems like will go several months without it happening and then may happen several time in a few days.
