Does LT1 need fueling help with E85?

Anyone hear of the LT1 needing some kind of supplemental fueling to run E85?

On a stock motor. I'm being told to run a fuel pump voltage booster. When I mentioned I hadn't heard of this being an issue, I was told every LT1 needs it when they start running E85.

I'm on E85 with my C7 and have long tubes/offroad pipes, Mamo ported Msd, Lt5 TB and I have no issues with the low side and thats what you need to look at when going to E plus the injector pulse width. I run anywhere between E65 and E85 depending on the fuel I find.

Nope. I added an E85 sensor kit to my 2017 no problem.

You don't need to touch the fuel system on E85 when NA until you get around 600whp. Upgrading to the LT4 fuel system high/low will get to about 730-750whp on full pump E.

This is based on Naturally Aspirated combos not Forced Induction.

Thanks for the replies, folks.

I am already tuned for E85, but was looking at switching to another tuner who is very active on this board. He is the one that said all E85 builds need a voltage booster. Caught me off guard.

Cant say for sure, but its prob being recommended for safety, not necessity.

Agree with those other guys, using just bolt-ons NA, the stock Camaro SS Coupe fuel system can handle full E85, many people have done so. Plus, your 1LE model already has the ZL1 low side pump (stronger) from the factory, so I seriously doubt that you need a voltage booster on your low side. What is your fuel pressure doing in the logs now?

So glad I came across this thread, now with my 1LE I don't have to order the Weapon X's low side fuel kit. Didn't know it came with the low side ZL1 fuel pump. That saves me a lot, now just injectors and high side pump. G-force Halfshafts & Driveshaft. Then the big purchase, Pro-charger. April-May hopefully looks good for completion.

GPI remote tuned my camaro for E. Couldn’t have been easier. Responded in less than 24 hrs with each update file. Deff look into them if your looking for a new tuner.
