How to pull wire pin from fuse block
I need to solder a splice on to pin 15 (charge air coolant pump). I see the gray retaining clip and pulled it out. Is there a trick to getting the pin out. I've tugged with moderate force but it doesn't want to come out. What is the trick?

There are specific terminal tools needed to properly remove and crimp on a new one. The GM shop manual designates which tool is needed. You can sometimes determine an alternative if you have a new terminal available for inspection of the side barbs that retain the terminal
Some load from the front, most from the back

You have to go in from the plug side and bend a plastic lock out of the way. It's only about a 1/16th of an inch wide. If you don't have the tool a very small flat head screw driver will work.

If you can't find proper extraction tool, you can splice it. Get a solder butt-splice with attached wire and the you can cut the wire and solder in (most likely just need to heat depending on splice) it in and the you have you're wire to run to destination.
Search Raychem for the splices.

if you cant get it out, use a wire stripper to cut into the jacket in two spots about half inch apart (don't hurt the wire), then use a knife/blade to slit the area in between to remove the jacket, wrap the new wire around the area and solder and then wrap it up in some electrical tape .. tadaaaa!!!!

you need a weatherpack tool or small pick to release the little pin that is retaining the wire...you can also strip the wire and solder as described in the post above

Thanks for the advice guys. Where I work they do this sort of think regularly to interface onto truck chassis so I'll see about an extraction tool from there. If not I'll do like Mean Green suggests and wrap with tape. The only reason to pull the pin is to put a shrink wrap on it.
I tried to manipulate it with a small screw driver but am to worried about damaging it.
